Newly Qualified Drivers can now take advantage of events designed to enhance their road safety knowledge and driving skills.
In partnership with the Police Service for Northern Ireland (PSNI), Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS), Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), and the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM), these events offer valuable learning opportunities. They include:
- On-road driving assessments
- Manoeuvrability tests
- Road safety and wellbeing exhibitions
- Simulated fatal car crash scenarios
Some events also feature cross-border support from Garda Síochána and Donegal County Council.
Presentations at these events include insights from emergency services and a poignant account from the father of a teenage driver who tragically lost her life in a car collision.
